Welcome to the GolfScorings Tutorial!
Now that the app is on your phone, let’s dive into these simple steps to get started:
Create a Group:
Tap on ‘Create a Group’ to start assembling your golfing circle.
Enter a group name and description to personalize your group. Multiple groups can be created with different players! You can also delete a group; if you do, you will lose all the stats and the players within this group. Players invited to a group do not see players in other groups. Also, all the stats for each player in this group stay within that group.”
Invite Players:
Select “Invite Players” on your group page.
To invite players, you must first create a group from the dropdown tab. Click on the “+” icon located below the word “Player.” You will be able to add their names and invite them to the group via email or SMS by sending an invitation link. Once a player is invited, you cannot change their name, but they can. You will not be able to transfer that player to another group. If you have the same player in different groups, you will need to create that player in each group and send separate invitations for each group.
*You can resend a reminder invitation if the player hasn’t accepted it.
Set Up a Game:
Choose “Create a Game” to schedule a new match by clicking the + (plus) icon next to “Game” in the Games section.
You can specify the date, location, name of the golf course, add the course’s handicap, and also add notes. You can also delete the game by clicking on the garbage bin icon. Each player can add games, name the golf course, and add notes, but they won’t be able to delete games; only the admin can.
Enter Scores:
Entering Scores in GolfScorings: Two Ways – Shot Count or Net Score!
One is by selecting your score from the dropdown menu at the end of the game or during the game. The other method is for the admin to select “Live Scoresheet” from the dropdown filter menu. *It is important to set this up before creating a new game. Once this option is selected, you must add the H.C.P. (Handicap) of the course. Then, players will be able to add their minuses and pluses for each hole. All players will be able to see all scorings live.
Players won’t be able to modify other players’ scores, but they can modify or input their own scores. All scoring functions for the current game will be locked at midnight. Only the admin can unlock them in the Dropdown Filter menu. Additionally, the admin can grant other players the ability to delete games and update any player’s scores.
Check Out Stats:
In the GolfScorings app, you can view statistics in two main sections. Access these sections by clicking on the hamburger menu at the top right of the application.
The first section is “Standings,” which displays the leaders of the group. You can filter these standings by games played, wins, ties, handicap, and dates.
The second section is “Player versus Player.” Here, each player can view their stats against a specific opponent, including wins, losses, and ties. Note that all stats are calculated exclusively within the group.

Adding More Players:
You can add new players to groups at any time;
they will be identified by unique color codes for easy recognition. Players can be removed from a group without notification; however, their scoring history will be preserved and can be hidden using the filter option. You can reinvite removed players to your groups whenever you wish.
Scrolling Features:
Use the vertical scrollbar to navigate through game records.
The horizontal scrollbar allows you to browse through player profiles and more below the header section.
Edit or Remove Players:
Only Administrators have the capability to edit player details or remove them from the group if necessary.
Remember, players’ historical data will remain and they won’t get notified.
